Federalists vs Republicans - The two earliest political parties in the
United States history were the Federalists who where led by Washington and Hamilton and the Republicans who where led by Jefferson and Madison. The Federalists set in motion the new
United States government. While they had many good laws and gain foreign nations respect many people thought that the Federalists wished to establish a monarchy with George Washington as king. The people who believe this called themselves Republicans because they wished for a republic. They elected Jefferson President and he was inaugurated in the city of
Washington, March 4, 1801. Source: Research of early 1900’s history books.
This is a paragraph written by us using early 1900’s history books using in schools in this time periods. It has been turned into a word search game to making learning history more fun. The idea is to encourage children and students to read the paragraph in order to find the words in the word search game. There is an answer key on page two of the free printable educational game.
